Thank you all.  You are given us some new ideas - for instance we had not heard about Wayfair.com.  We figured some of you with property in Hawaii might have similar problems.  The possibilty of having some roman shades made for our oversized windows is worth following up too.  Easier even to ship fabric down from here.
